To change your profile name, you can follow these steps:
- Go to your Settings.
- Navigate to the Edit profile tab.
- In the Name box, enter your new desired account name.
- Click Save or Update to save the changes.
Please note that the name you choose will be displayed on the site when you post comments or engage in other activities. Make sure you’re comfortable with others seeing this name and avoid sharing personal information.
However, once you have launched a project from your Indie Birds account, the associated profile display name cannot be edited. This is done to maintain transparency across projects. If you have specific circumstances or additional context for a change in your profile name, you can reach out to our team, and they will review your request.
It’s important to mention that our policies generally do not allow for name changes in all circumstances. However, certain scenarios like gender transition or marriage may be exceptions to this policy. If you would like to request a name change in such cases, please submit a ticket by filling out the “Submit a ticket” form and follow the provided steps. Our team will assist you with your request.
